Vadodara – The Industrial Catalyst Vadodara has the presence of the highest number of PSUs in Gujarat. In a state that propels industrial growth, Vadodara has emerged as the preferred destination for MNCs like General Motors and Bombardier as well as the Navratna Public Sector Units like Oil and Natural Gas Corporation of India (ONGC) and Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL). Additionally, Vadodara is also home to Reliance Industries Ltd., the Gujarat State Fertilizers Corporation (GSFC) that supports growth of the farm sector, Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited’s (NPCIL) heavy water plant, Gujarat Alkalis and Chemicals Limited (GACL) that caters to the varied industry-specific chemical requirements and Gujarat Industries Power Corporation Limited (GIPCL) that provides power to these industries. The presence of these diverse industries acts as a catalyst for increased employment and enhanced development of the city.
