VIETNAMWOOD 2015

Welcome to the presentation of the Federal Republic of Germany!

15 German exhibitors are taking part in the German pavilion at Vietnamwood 2015. Equipped with the best know-how and the latest technologies, these German manufacturers of woodworking machines and accessories are all set to present a broad selection of their products and look forward to intensifying their cooperation with the Vietnamese wood industry in fruitful dialogues.

The partnership between Vietnam and Germany has a long tradition: Some 100.000 Vietnamese were educated in the former German Democratic Republic. They now form a bridge between the two countries, that is unique in Asia, and keeps the bilateral relations alive. This partnership also reaches far in the fast growing Vietnamese timber industry: The Vietnamese German Forestry Programme, which is co-financed by the German government, helps improving the resource supply that is vital for the industry. Furthermore, a training network and technology transfer is being established through education projects.

Vietnam’s furniture industry is currently experiencing a vivid growth compared to the previous year. Numerous possibilities attract the attention of domestic and also foreign investors. There is a considerable demand for products made of wood, e.g. furniture, floor coverings, structural elements, and building materials. And with the right machines, systems, and tools, Vietnam can transform local and foreign wood raw materials into high-quality export goods.

German manufacturers of woodworking machinery and materials are an important partner for the Vietnamese wood industry in these endeavors. Visit the stands of the official German Pavilion and see for yourself what’s behind the label “Made in Germany”. Specialists from all sectors of woodworking look forward to talking shop with you.
