The energy landscape is changing radically. The “Easy to get to oil” is gone, leaving oil companies the need to drill deeper and deeper to find other deposits. The process of extracting oil from reservoirs is becoming more difficult, resulting in higher cost, which puts at risk the businesses of the operators and contractors. Finding new potential reserves presents problems that require new technologies to produce barrels of oil and gas economically, and producing from deep water.
Måns Lidgren, CEO of Rex International Holding will share his perspective on how the company is using technology to find hydrocarbons in an economical and effective way, the challenges of gaining acceptance of the technology, and the overall success of the technology. He will also address the challenge of how to reduce the costs of the entire oil and gas E&P industry by new innovative technical approaches.
